these are just some of the numerous signs that i was able to take shots of on our way back to Massachusetts from our spring break trip to Virginia. traffic jam had us stuck right around this spot for more than a couple of hours! nearby the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey to New York. what should've been a 9 hour drive became 12, including restroom and food stops. aarggghh!!!!

Those are the kind of signs I don't really like to see when I'm driving! It works great for this photo theme though.
Sounds like a bit of a nightmare journey. Wow, those signs look bright! I don't know about with you, but here in the UK they put far too many signs up and they're quite distracting.
I hate how big city traffic can add hours and hours to long distance drives. We often have to drive through Toronto on our way to Montreal, and if we don't time it Just So, we're hosed. I love these shots, though. Color and composition, both bang on!
